Project Overview
Batang Baybayin (Child of Baybayin) is a reimagining of Filipino snack packaging through the use of the precolonial writing system, Baybayin. This project explores what modern Filipino language and culture might have been like without the influence of Spanish colonization. It offers a glimpse through five of my personal favourite snacks by redesigning their packaging as way to reintegrate the writing system into modern Filipino society.
